Master Chen Yingjun was born in 1976 in Chenjiagou (Henan Province, PR China), and began his studies of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) at the age of 8 under his father Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. Until the age of 14, his training consisted mainly of basic exercises such as "pillar standing" and "silk thread pulling" as well as practicing the 1st form in the old frame (laojia yilu), which took about 2 hours a day. At this age, he decided to practice harder to achieve high skill in the art of Taijiquan. To this end, he began to repeat the routines up to 30 times following the great example of Chen Fake (his grandfather). After a while, however, he had to reduce his routines to 15 repetitions per day in order to remain fit enough to practise regularly and intensively.
Chen Yingjun's Father, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowangmoved to Australia at this time and Chen Yingjun continued to train under his uncle Chen Xiaoxing for 4 years. He then followed his father to Australia to refine his skills under his supervision and guidance.
Master Chen Yingjun lives with his wife and children in Sidney where he continues to study to delve deeper into the art of his family.
Only recently has he begun traveling to other countries to demonstrate his skills and share his enthusiasm.
